Our Custom Shutters are constructed of all species of wood according to the customer’s specifications.

Premium materials bought locally insuring a consistent finished product.

All stiles and rails are a full 1 1/4 thick, 1/8 to 3/8 inch thicker than industry standard. This allows for wider panels and stronger joinery.

Maple is color selected, leaving all white no dark grain, for a more even stain finish.

Louvers are elliptical – a full ½ inch thick in the center.

All louvers are fitted with nylon bushings for a smooth operation and long life.

All shutter panels utilize louver tension screws with nylon bushings to maintain desired tilt rod resistance for the life of the shutter.

Louver spacing is individually calculated on each panel, providing uniform rail height on all panels, which are stronger and aesthetically balanced.

Double biscuit and screw joinery are utilized at all rail and stile unions to increase strength and rigidity. This increased rigidity permits closer tolerance between louver and stiles which provides improved temperature and light control.

Choice of louver size: 2.5, 3.5, 4.5, and 5.5.

Shutters to fit any shape or size of windows.  Garden doors are our specialty.

All wood components of the shutter are sanded prior to and after assembly to assure uniform consistent finishes.

Custom matching of paint or stains.

A physical paint or stain sample is supplied for customers’ approval.

Clear waterproof sealer is used under pre-catalized sealer. This prevents paint moisture failure. We are the only ones in the industry that use this process.

All sealers, paint and clear finishes are pre-cat lacquer containing UV absorber for improved resistance from yellowing.
